Childrens perspective
As many children can find it difficult to talk about death, we asked children between 6 and 11 years old just like you, 4 different questions about death and asked them to draw pictures showing their thoughts and feelings.
If you would like to draw a picture showing how you feel about death you could save it for your own use, or you could even send it to us to be included in our online gallery to the address below:

When Someone Dies
The following are some of the sections covered in the book 'When Someone Dies', just one of many books and pamphlets available to borrow from Eric F. Box's library. Questions covered include:
Why can't doctors and hospitals stop someone from dying?
Where do dead people go?
Does death hurt?
When someone dies, are they being punished?
Why did someone I love have to die?
Why couldn't it have been someone else?
Is death like sleeping?
Bereavement Cards
In association with 'The Orchard'
We have designed a collection of 4 bereavement cards that have been made especially for children like you.
On each card there is space for you to tick the box that says how you are feeling, and hand the cards out to your parents or carer, your teacher, your friend and there is even a card for you to keep for yourself.
These cards tell other people know exactly how you are feeling and can help you to let others how they can help you to feel better.
To order your very own pack of bereavement cards for free please either write to us at:
