Eric F Box Celebrates 150 years in the Business

A family owned firm of funeral directors is celebrating 150 years in business by holding an open day at its modern bereavement home in Dewsbury.

Eric F Box is opening its doors to visitors on Saturday 13th September 2003 with a display from Victorian Times to the present day.

The exhibition, open from 10am - 4pm, will include funeral effects and memorabilia from throughout the ages. These will include a horse drawn hearse, a 1930's motorised hearse and archives from the local area, right through to the latest up to the minute funeral styles such as bamboo coffins.

A guided tour of the bereavement home will also be available, uncovering the lesser-known facts about the whole process, as well as a chance to surf their updated web-site whilst enjoying light refreshments.
