Terms & Conditions

Thank you for using the Eric F. Box website. Before you make a purchase, please read the following terms and conditions. You will be asked to confirm that you agree and understand them before you complete your purchase. Once you have agreed to these terms and conditions, you are signifying your agreement to be bound by them.

Definitions
Customers or visitors to this website are referred to as "you." Eric F. Box Ltd is referred to as "us," "our" or "we."

Contract of sale.
All items displayed for sale on the website are currently in stock. However, there will be rare occasions when breaks in supply occur. If an item can no longer be sourced for the foreseeable future, it will be removed immediately from the online shop. Eric F. Box reserves the right to withdraw items for sale at any time. If an item is on reorder, "temporarily out of stock" will appear in the item description. If your website purchase coincides with a break in supply, this purchase will not be a contract of sale with Eric F. Box. You will be contacted by Eric F. Box and offered the opportunity to wait to purchase the item(s) of your choice when it arrives back in stock or cancel the sale. Your purchase will therefore not be contractually confirmed until you receive an email entitled "Eric F. Box order - confirmation of postage." If part of your order is not available, we will contact you for authorisation to make a partial delivery.

If you would like to purchase an item which has "temporarily out of stock" in the description, please contact us. We will be able to inform you when the item is likely to be back in stock.

Making a purchase
When you purchase an item from the Eric F. Box online shop, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your order and a unique order number. When your item has been posted, you will receive an email entitled "Eric F. Box order - confirmation of postage." You will normally receive a confirmation of postage email within one to two working days of your order being received and processed. In the unlikely event that the postage of your item is delayed, Eric F. Box will contact you to inform you of the date on which you can expect delivery. Unless your purchase coincides with a break in supply, orders will not take more than five working days to be dispatched. If you have any special requirements for postage, please contact us at the time of your order. We will be happy to try and meet these requirements.

Pricing
All prices shown on the Eric F. Box website are inclusive of VAT and in British Pounds Sterling (£ GBP). We welcome purchases from overseas and as the prices on the Eric F. Box website are displayed in pounds, your credit card company will charge you in your country's currency at that day's exchange rate. Local charges are not the responsibility of Eric F. Box Ltd.

We cannot be held responsible for typographical errors on this site, including but not limited to those including price. Eric F. Box reserves the right to change its terms and conditions and product and price information without any notice being given.

Packaging
We make every effort to package your items attractively, safely and securely. Bulkier items may be packed in a box. Each box may then be bubble wrapped and posted in a padded envelope. It is important that you retain packaging if you want to make a return. Additional information on returns is provided below.

Postage
All items within the UK will be posted by either first class or recorded delivery. The recorded delivery items will need a signature on receipt. Current postage prices are 0.34p for first class postage and £1.04 and for recorded delivery within the UK. We will add 0.34p to postage costs for each additional item ordered.

If your order is late, please contact us. We will issue you with its special delivery number to use as a tracking reference with your local sorting office or on the Royal Mail website (www.royalmail.com). We can only refund non-deliveries when the parcel is officially classified as lost by the Royal Mail. This is 15 working days after the date of delivery. If your order is urgent, we will post out a replacement, if available, but only upon receipt of payment for this item. We will then arrange for a refund if the original item has not been delivered after the 15 days has elapsed.

Quality
Eric F. Box works with designers which produce the highest standard of products. We take great care to accurately describe and photograph each item, but the colour, finish and shape of items may differ from one item to another.

We want you to purchase from the Eric F. Box website with confidence. However, in the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your purchase, please get in touch with us and we will attempt to put things right or arrange for a return. For more information on returns, please read the section entitled "Returns" below.

Returns
If the item you have purchased from the Eric F. Box website is unsuitable and you wish to cancel your purchase, you must inform us within seven days starting from the day after you have received this item. You must inform us either in writing to the contact point above or by email to funerals@efbox.co.uk. This communication should include details of your item, the reason for return, your name and address and whether you require a refund or replacement. Please note Eric F. Box will not accept telephone calls with regard to returns purchased on the website.

Eric F. Box recommends that you return your item within two weeks of receipt. We will be happy to exchange your items or offer you a full refund, providing that we receive the items in their original condition and original packaging. If the returned item falls outside of these guidelines, then you will be issued with a credit note. If the items arrive with obvious signs of abuse or have been damaged as a result of incorrect packaging being used, then these items will be returned to you.

With the exception of faulty items, you will be required to pay for the return of items yourself. We strongly advise you to return the item as quickly as possible and obtain proof of posting and a delivery service that insures you for the value of your items. Eric F. Box cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit. If your item is faulty, Eric F. Box will strive to arrange for an item refund or exchange and refund for your return postage within five working days of receipt of the faulty item. Refunds will be provided by the same method by which you paid for the item and will be given no later than 30 days after we have received notification of the cancellation of your purchase.

Security
Eric F. Box understands that you want to shop securely and with confidence. It therefore uses an online secure payment service provider called Protx to process your card payment. Protx uses state-of-the-art internet solutions to ensure that the personal and sensitive data you provide when making a purchase from us is not compromised. The security services of Protx are among the most advanced in the country.

Data privacy When you make a purchase, Eric F. Box collects certain information to fulfil your order. However, we are completely committed to protecting your privacy and comply with the eight guiding principles of the Data Protection Act 1998. We do not disclose customer details to any third party for marketing or other purposes unless you give us explicit authority to do so.

If you have set up an account with Eric F. Box, you are responsible for maintaining the privacy of this account and dedicated password. Please contact us immediately if you believe that your password is being used in an unauthorised manner.

Use of our website
All use of the Eric F. Box website must be lawful and not injurious to any third party. You must not copy the content or images contained within the Eric F. Box web pages for commercial purposes without the written consent of Eric F. Box Ltd. You must also not use the Eric F. Box website in any way that undermines the credibility of the Eric F. Box site or Eric F. Box Funeral Directors Ltd.

All the conditions above do not affect your statutory rights.
