Cremation - FAQ's
If your loved one is to be cremated, the decision about what to do with the remains can be difficult. There are several options that are available to you:
- You can scatter the cremated remains at the crematorium
- You can inter the cremated remains in a family grave at a cemetery or churchyard.
- You can inter the cremated remains in a special section of a cemetery or churchyard known as the "Garden of Remembrance". These sections are specifically designed for Cremated Remains. A plaque, vase, tablet or stone can be purchased so that the grave is marked.
- You can scatter the cremated remains in a place that was special to you. This is a very personal decision.
- You can keep them in your home or garden. There is a special range of home and garden memorials that the cremated remains can be placed in.
- You can keep the cremated remains at our bereavement home until you have decided what you would like to do with them.
- You can also keep the remains in a keepsake.
